Federico Polese - co-founder/

Federico founded Simplify Partners in Luxemburg in 2008 and moved to London shortly after. He Previously held roles at Arthur Andersen, UBS and Schroders. In Arthur Andersen, as part of the Corporate Finance team oversaw several acquisitions of Italian companies. Continued his corporate M&A experience at UBS and, eventually joined the asset management team of the bank in 2001. Finally, at Schroders from 2005, was one of the members of the investment committee and responsible for the development of private clients for Italy.

Federico acquired deep knowledge of specific industrial sectors and asset classes. Once in Simplify Partners managed two specialised funds along with the main one, Simplify 02. (The specialised funds were: Simplify Aerospace & Defence equity and Simplify Capital Structure Arbitrage dedicated to bank debt arbitrage).

Graduated in Political Science/Economic History from the University of Milan, obtained an MBA from Bocconi University and attended executive programs at INSEAD in Fontainebleau (France) and Columbia University in New York. Served with NATO in the Emirates in 1991 during the Iraqi conflict and is passionate of endurance sports. Completed six Ironman, sixteen trail marathons and three endurance rallies in Africa.

Lorenzo Codogno – Macro economic advisor/

After working for eleven years at the Bank of America, he served as the Chief Economist and General Director of the Treasury Department at the Ministry of Economy and Finance (May 2006-February 2015). In this role, he was responsible for macroeconomic forecasts, cyclical and structural analyses of the Italian and international economies, as well as analyses of European and international monetary and financial issues.

He was the chair of working group 1 and head of the Italian delegation in the economic policy committee and the review committee of the OECD.

Harald Rosch – Telecom Industry Advisor e non executive partner/

He is CEO of Melita Limited in Malta after being CEO of Blizoo (telecommunications operator in Bulgaria), CEO of Kabel Baden-Württemberg (third cable operator in Germany), CEO of HanseNet (fourth operator in Germany in broadband) and head of the internet division of Telecom Italia.
He worked for McKinsey & Co for six years and held directorships in companies such as Sky Deutschland, United Digital Group.
Harald holds an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau (France).

Barbara Magretti - Operations Management & Team Coordination/

Barbara Magretti plays a key role in ensuring the efficiency of operational processes by coordinating the various components of the Simplify Partners team.
With a decade-long experience in management assistance and operational organization, she ensures the smooth execution of business activities, even across international boundaries.
He also manages coordination between team members and suppliers affiliated with the company.
